Excitement is growing as our first B787 Dreamliner spreads its wings in March 2014. The B787 is one of the most fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly airliner flying today using composite materials. The aircraft will initially operate domestic flights before launching its first international flight in July 2014 to Tokyo Haneda and Tel Aviv from Toronto. There are 15 B787-8 and 22 B787-9 aircraft on order.
The B787 fleet and schedule will be updated automatically into VAC's system upon introduction into operations.
New and Improved Flight Planning
Our flight planning system has undergone a major upgrade. We have moved the system to it's own dedicated server, as well as adding several new features such as: The ability to update the system's AIRAC cycle, step climb planning, inclusion of FIR NOTAMs, a much cleaner and streamlined interface, and a full user guide!
As the new system will be hosted off-site, users will need to register a separate account on the system's website. The "Paperwork" button in your myVAC Flight Ops section will redirect to the new system shortly.
